I saw this link over at Hot Air via Protein Wisdom.  I glaced briefly through the linked site, but more than anything, I was struck a bit thoughtful by the choice of terminology:  “Radical Christianity…”

What exactly is “radical”Christianity?  I’m sure that many youth groups are all about, like, a totally RADICAL Christianity, dude.  But somehow, I suspect that’s not what we’re really discussing here.

I mean, can you imagine seeing this in the news:

“A flight to Denver made an emergency landing today after five evangelicals suddenly stood up as the plane was on its final approach.  They began waving Bibles and speaking in tongues.  Some passengers are said to have heard them conmdening homosexuality and demanding prayer be allowed in schools.   Air marshalls fired Tasers and other passengers helped subdue the radical Christians who had threatened to, uh……”

Hmm…Radical Christianity.  You know what it is, right?  Radical Chrisitians are too often merely those who have the temerity to hold to their beliefs even in the face of equally “radical” social engineering.  Radical Christians probably believe in wacky bizzarro stuff like the literal truth of the Bible as the word of God, repentance, the crucifixion and resurrection, the existence of Jesus Christ and the truth of His nature as the Son of God.  You know, all that hardline Bible-thumper stuff that makes people…..uncomfortable.

Radical Christians don’t bow to the pressure to conform the tenets of their faith to what is socially mandated by progressive do-gooders.  They don’t “go along to get along.”  I’m not saying that there aren’t Christians and denominations that DO roll with the socially fashionable.  It happens all the time.  But, by the very act of conforming, they preserve themselves from being labeled as “radicals.”  Nonconformists.  Intolerant, haters…you name it.  Go with the flow; stay “mainstream” as any cost, even if the stream is taking you over the falls.

I propose that a whole lot of the progressive social engineering taking place in our schools, offices and town halls is far more “radical” than the ideology of those groups who choose to maintain and practice traditionalist beliefs.

Crazy policies like the “No-touching” rule in Virginia schools.  This is not “protection.”  It is an implicit acknowledgment of the failure of our society to teach our children mutual respect, compassion and care.  The very things which the progressive mouthbreathers condemn Christians for failing to apply, but which are the very hallmarks of Biblical Christianity.  We forbid them from touching each other because violence has become so prevalent that they can’t be “trusted.”  Yet, we can’t teach Biblical values in school, can’t pray or hold Bible studies on school grounds because it might make someone uncomfortable; might be seen as “threatening.”  We’ve taken away “Do Unto Others,” and replaced it with an oppressive sterility that treats our children as criminals and monsters.

Which is exactly what many of them are becoming…thanks to the overly permissive social engineering which equates spanking with child abuse, verbal correction with emotional abuse, and red ink on school papers as damaging to self-esteem.

Some go so far as to suggest that failing to enroll a child school is a form of neglect. This school of thought has be used repeatedly to bring pressure to bear on homeschoolers, many of whom are Christians who feel {justifiably} that it is far more abusive to submit their children to the undisciplined, out-of-control environment in so many schools, where drugs, violence, gangs, teen pregnancy and unchecked bullying are so pervasive.

But since these government schools are where the social engineers are best able to exert their influences, they seem to have a vested interest in making sure that little Johnny is there to learn to tolerate homosexuality, and get Sex-Ed in the forth grade, even though one definition of child sexual abuse is: “Inappropriate interest in or knowledge of sexual acts.” Rainbow Party anyone?

According to a 2001 article in the Salt Lake Tribune on, “When is Spanking Child Abuse?“:

Assessing mental harm to a child as a result of spanking or paddling may be more difficult than assessing physical harm. The bill defines mental harm as an impairment of a child’s ability to function within the child’s normal range of behavior.

Gayle Ruzicka of the Utah Eagle Forum, who otherwise spoke in favor of the bill, said determination of a child’s normal range of behavior could be ambiguous.

“Who makes that determination?” Ruzicka said. “Especially if the child is not in school.” (emphasis mine)

Apparently it is the schools that are best equipped to determine what is “normal” behavior for a child, not the parents. Yes, that’s right.  The substitute teacher with a two-year Associates Degree in Early Childhood Development, and no kids of her own.   Regular resident expert, that.

Look at this list of emotional and behavioral effects of child abuse, and tell me where we find these problems running the most rampant?  That’s right.  Public.Freaking.Schools.

I guess I just wonder how long it will be before other words start slipping into the social lexicon to describe such non-conformist, backward-thinking Christians?  Will there come a day when failure to enroll your kids in government schools will get you branded as a “militant” Christian?  How many Christians will some day be on a “watch list” for no other reason than they refusing to compromise their beliefs by knuckling under to demands that they openly endorse homosexuality or abortion?  How long before someone is arrested for refusing to put away their Bible because it “might” offend someone?

Sure, that may sound like hyperbole, but if you really look at the trends of how Christian groups, educators, students and even families are being treated, especially in higher academia, it’s not quite such a stretch.  It seems like Christians are one of the few special interest groups routinely denied access to many facilities under the “separation of church and state” nonsense.   Which is just baby-talk for religious discrimination.

I don’t think that Christians are “becoming” radicals.  They always have been.  It’s just that before, it seemed like we had a lot more “sympathizers” than we do nowadays.

The progressive managers of our crumbling Society demand every more stridently that Christians change to fit their ever-changing mold.  And yet the Christians refuse to kneel at Ceasar’s altar.

And we all know how THAT turned out last time….

I have yet another disturbing and deeply intimate personal revelation to make here on my own little corner of Blogtopia:

I wash plastic spoons.

You know, those crazy picnic spoons you buy by the bag for $1.29 in the paper-towel and napkin aisle? I reuse them. I take them in my lunch, so if I lose one, or if it gets just too nasty after I nosh down my Dinty Moore, well, I can chuck it. But I usually don’t.

And do you know why? Of course not.  Then you’d be either a psychic or a stalker.

It’s not because I’m poor, and can’t afford real metal implements, and so need to stretch the flatware until the next batch of food stamps roll in. Which, don’t get me wrong, I’ve DONE, so don’t think I’m busting on anyone who does have to do that, cuz I feel your pain, trust me.

I do it because {{gulp}} I’m really a…{{shudders, hangs head, heavy sigh, etc}}…tree-hugging enviro-groopie at heart.

Yes, this is my shame. I’m not quite in the chain-myself-in-a tree and bathe-in-a-bucket-for-a-week category, but I don’t throw away plastic spoons because…they’re plastic. They don’t break down in landfills, and they give off flurocarbons when incinerated.

And you know what else? I snip the rings on soda carriers, too. Yup, so little dolphins and nesting terns don’t get their little snouts caught all up in an empty Pepsi bra.

I compost.  I pick up trash on the street when I’m out running.  I even recycle! Oh, the SHAME!  How will I ever face my other earth-despoiling conservative friends again? Or my Christian wacko “we’re gonna be raptured, so why not burn this place to the ground while we CAN” counterparts?  Such humiliation.

I know, I know, it’s only supposed to be liberals who care about the environment.  Conservatives are all about strip mining and dredge fishing and “isn’t the hole in the ozone a good thing cuz then it’ll let out all the greenhouse gases?”

What can I say, I’m a rebel.

I saw this link via LGF of a Perdue university computer model of what really happened in the Twin Towers massacre on 9/11.  It’s very compelling.

Watching that, you wonder how those buildings stayed up as long as they did.  It’s like someone coming up and breaking half your ribs and cutting half your tendons and then seeing how long you can remain standing.  Oh, and they jab a lit road flare into your stomach.   I couldn’t watch that and not wonder what it must have been like for the people on those few floors.  A lot probably died instantly.  It’s the rest your really don’t want to think about.

And, buy the way of linkage instead of bloggage, I bring you this link, of a Gay Pride Parade in Sao Paulo, Brazil.  For the faint of of heart, or those with small children around, I’ve put the rest after the jump:

British Court Finds Muslim Father Guilty of Murdering Daughter in ‘Honor Killing’

A father who ordered his daughter brutally slain for falling in love with the wrong man in a so-called “honor killing” was found guilty of murder on Monday.

Banaz Mahmod, 20, was strangled with a boot lace, stuffed into a suitcase and buried in a back garden.

Just so we’re clear, this is the Muslim/Sharia concept of “honor.”  By their own definition.  This is not, nor hopefully ever shall be, a western paradigm.

You know, like “Honor thy father and mother.”  “Death before dishonor.”  “Love, honor, and obey.”

Not strangle with a shoelace because you don’t like their choice of boyfriends or lipgloss.

Imagine his surpise when he was arrested for only doing what he thought was right?  I can only imagine what his defense in court was.  Something like, “Da ho jus needed killin’, yo.

Why do I continue to post articles like these, accompanied by such intolerant and exlusionary language?

Because of people like Nancy Pelosi, who want to make kissy-face with people like the Syrians.  Because the UN routinely condemns Israel, while pouring money into Palestine.  Because we are lambasted with images of wailing widows and dusty toys in ruined streets when Israel defends itself against terrorist rocket attacks, but let Hamas and Fatah blast the ever-loving shit out of each other, shooting up hospitals and schools without a second thought, and it’s just another ho-hum news day.

Let me be straight.  ARAB culture has a lot going for it.  There is a long and proud history of contributions by many Arab scholars and statesmen, dating back thousands of years.  I’ve got no problem or beef with your average, everyday, run-o-the-mill Arab joe.

It’s the evil and corrupt strain of Islam which has poisoned so much of the Arab world which churns my guts.  Sharia law and the likes of Al Q’aida and the Taliban have destroyed whatever might once have been good in that culture.

What’s worse, those Arabs and Muslims who might want to stand against such a tide are essentially powerless against the fervor and maniacal, murderous rage of those who cry for the death of infidels.

And they are bringing their madness here.  Their honor killings, their fatwahs and their oppressive, burdensome laws.  It’s happening in Britain, it’s happening in France and all over Europe, and it’s starting to happen here.

It has to be stopped.  And it will be stopped by people like me who highlight the madness, people who write and speak and stand together to say, “NO. Not here. Not in MY country, damnit!”  While some fight in the streets of Baghdad or the mountains of Afghanistan, others fight in the editorial pages and halls of the legislature.

It will be stopped by people who aren’t afraid to just flat laugh in their faces when they want to get all huffy because they have to ring up a hamhock at the checkout stand.  Don’t like it?  Find another job.

They will NOT be stopped, however, by spineless, weak-willed store owners and other employers who cave in to every stint of righteous indignation and threat of a fatwah or lawsuit.  It will not be stopped by traitorous lawmakers who would rather appease than oppose.

And it will not be stopped if we turn a blind eye, soft-pedal or sugar coat what it really is we are facing here.  It is a clash of cultures, a clash of civilization against ravening hordes who seek our undoing.

We cannot afford to blink.

Militants throw rivals off high-rise Gaza buildings

Now, I may not be the sharpest knife in the drawer, but I get this vague sort of sense that these people are, what’s the word….COMPLETE $#@&^%! ANIMALS!

Again, not being possessed of an incredible amount of mental acuity, I must profess some confusion at CNN’s continued choice of appellatives when describing these aforementioned douchebags.

“Militants.”  Let that sort of roll around your tongue.  Milllllitaaannnts.

Folks, “militants” do not throw people off high-rise buildings.  Murdering thugs do.  If Vinnie and Luigi took a bookie who was into Mr. Gione for 100 large, and tossed him offa the veranda of a luxury suite at the MGM Grand, such that he had a sudden impact with the parking lot, would one then be inclined to describe the aforementioned knee-breakers as “militants?” No?  What if they put CSI Las Vegas on the case?  And say, perhaps, the intrepid dectectives nabbed ol’ Vinnie and Luigi, would the charges against these gentleman refer to them being “militants?”  Or, would they be charged with murder?  1st degree, eminently premeditated murder?

Is there anything left in the Mass Media lexicon which rises to the level of terrorism anymore?  “Militants” perform all manner of perverse and appalling atrocities, and yet the best the world’s media can come up with is a milquetoast label like militant.  These are murdering bastards.  Human filth. Nothing more than feral throwbacks to a primordial stage of evolution.  It’s law of the jungle, kill or be killed.  But kill, regardless.

Yet the pacifist, capitulationist movements of the western world would have us “understand” the Muslim.  Embrace his culture.  Enable his worldview at the expense of our own.

If I wanted to embrace the Islamic culture, I’D MOVE TO AN ISLAMIC COUNTRY.  However, I DON’T want to “appreciate” the finer points of Sharia law…

THAT’S WHY I LIVE HERE!  Looking around the world at all the places that have been turned into festering cesspools of oppression, hate and murder by the adherents to Sharia law and Islamic teachings, can you understand why I might be a little less than tolerant of getting the same crap rammed down my throat by a bunch of affirmative action beatniks here at home?

Whether it is the Sunni’s killing Shiites, or Hamas killing Fatah, it’s really just the Hatfields and the McCoys, who been killin’ each uther fer so long that no one even ‘members how it all got started;  but it’s all they’ve ever known, so it’s all they know how to do.

Count me out, thanks.

Reports are flying in that the fabled Stardust Casino in Las Vegas imploded in a massive explosion early Tuesday morning.  Several witnesses to the event stated that to them, it looked suspiciously like a controlled demolition.

“You don’t see buildings like that just collapse.  I’m pretty sure that there is something else going on here,” stated one cynical observer.

An anonymous source has come forward to state that he “knows a guy” who was involved in placing 428 pounds of high explosives throughout the building in structurally critical locations.  He suggested that they had been in preparations for “the past three months,” carefully planning the destruction of the hotel’s two towers.

Rumor has it that the structure had secretly been stripped to bare concrete and steel in the preceding months, suggesting a wide-ranging conspiracy to cover up the preparations leading to the demolition.

As the investigation into this incident proceeds, the facts about more and more controlled demolitions are coming to light.  Most seem to involve thousands of man hours to prepare the buildings for implosion.

One wonders how activities of such magnitude can go continue to go unnoticed by so many people! Shocking!

One internet website even goes so far as to suggest that there are “only a handful” of demolition companies in the world with the experience and expertise to plan and execute a true building implosion.

So, all that being said….

One wonders how the Twin Towers destruction on 9/11 was a carefully planned conspiracy by BushCo?  100’s or 1,000s of man-hours?  Hundreds of pounds of explosive placed through the buildings?  Rare and unique skill sets required?  Remote detonation capability requiring some sort of transmission medium which would reach all the explosive charges without interference so that they would explode in the necessary sequence, without any trace of visible wiring?

Now, I’m no Rosie O’Donnell or Cindy Sheehan, but…

It just don’t add up.

I don’t know that I could vote for Barak Obama for President, because I’m not sure he could adequately represent the interests of white people, or understand their unique cultural concerns and viewpoints.

Although, he does seem to have plugged into a robust support network for the Black Family, businesses, and community value. (Via LGF)

I always find in darkly humurous when you transpose a few choice words in Progressive rhetoric, and instantly it becomes the very thing they claim to hate.

Say, for example, you took some screed against conservative christians, and replaced every instance of the word “Christian” with the word “homosexual.”  Then re-read the article and imagine it getting published without some wildfire of indignation and calls for apologies and sensitivity training.

So when certain groups talk about Black Pride, or Black Solidarity, or black “cultchAH,” it’s with heartfelt appreciation for the struggles of a, eh hmm, “minority.”

But change it around, and you get white Pride or White Solidarity, which has become synonymous with the KKK and neo-Nazis.

How many times in the past have we heard a black candidate scorned because he or she wasn’t “black enough,”  i.e. – he or she was trying too hard to get a long in the “white” system, and had abandoned his black “roots?”

Imagine suggesting that a candidate wasn’t acting “white” enough, and that he was abandoning his roots in favor of trying to appeal to those “other” people.  You’d be political dog meat.

So, when black or hispanic or asian voters ask themseslves whether a particular candidate will be able to appreciate or represent their unique cultural concerns, I guess I have to ask myself whether or not Obama can truly represent my concerns as a person of color…the color white, that is.

We SHOULD be asking ourselves if a candidate can represent, defend, and uphold our collective concerns, the concerns of the American people, and our American culture and heritage, instead of pigeon-holing him into a specific cultural or gender demographic niche.

I don’t want a candidate who will “speak” to the issues of African-Americans, or Native Americans, or Asian-Americans, or whatever other form of Hyphenated-Americans there are out there.  I’d like to see a candidate who can strike a common cord among us all,  maybe someone who can bringing us back from the brink of this hissing, spitting, clawing catfight between rabid blowhards on both ends of the spectrum who take no position other than that the guy across the table is pure demonic evil, simply because there is an (R) after his name instead of a (D).

But, more than anything, I’d like to see a candidate for President who will put the needs and concerns of the nation as a whole ahead of those of any one specific group or demographic over another.
